IP allowlist

Only addresses you list can open a connection. Keep the list limited to servers and networks you trust.

Why you need it

QubicDB only accepts database connections from IP addresses on your allowlist. Username and password alone are not enough.

Add an IP

  1. Open Databases → your database → IP allowlist.
  2. Add the public IP of each host that should connect: production app server, staging server, CI runner, or office egress if you connect from there.
  3. Keep each entry Active.

Use the public IP that your traffic leaves the internet from. If the app runs behind a cloud load balancer, NAT gateway, or VPN, allowlist that outbound public address, not a private LAN address.

Deactivate or remove

Deactivating or deleting an entry stops new connections from that address. Update your app config or restart the app if it still holds an old open connection.
