QubicDB
Free needs no credit card. Higher plans raise database count, storage, engines, and backup when the starter quota is not enough.

What changes
Plans differ on databases, storage, engines, and backup. Create, connect, and manage the IP allowlist the same way after you upgrade.
How many databases you can keep active under the plan at once.
How much data each plan can hold before you free space or move up.
Which engines you can create from. Free starts with PostgreSQL; more engines open on higher plans.
Whether backup is included. Free typically omits it; higher plans can turn it on when published.

Each card shows database count, storage, engines, and backup. Start on Free, then move up when that quota is not enough.

Across plans
Higher plans raise quotas. They do not change how you create a database or connect an app.
Pick an engine on your plan, create the database, then copy host, port, and credentials.
IP allowlists and per-database credentials stay under your account on every plan.
Free databases are not paused for inactivity between classes, demos, or quiet project weeks.
Starting free, staying available, upgrading, and connecting your app.
QubicDB hosts databases for you. You create one in the dashboard, copy the connection details, and use them in your app. You do not install or maintain a database server.
Yes. Start free with no credit card. Free gives you a starter quota so you can try the real create-and-connect flow. When you need more databases, storage, engines, or backup, move to a higher plan.
No. Free databases are not paused for inactivity. They stay available between classes, demos, and quiet weeks on a side project.
Open Pricing and pick a higher plan when it is available. You keep the same dashboard workflow: create databases, copy credentials, and manage IP allowlists.
You choose from engines on your plan. Free starts with PostgreSQL. More engines appear on higher plans when they are published.
When the database is ready, open it in the dashboard, copy host, port, username, and password, then use them in your application.
Yes. Each database has an IP allowlist, so only addresses you add can connect.
No. Sign in with Google or GitHub, accept the terms, subscribe to Free, and create your first database.
Shared means your database shares capacity with others, but keeps its own login. Free PostgreSQL and MariaDB usually run this way. Dedicated means capacity is reserved for one database. MongoDB and Redis start there. Paid plans, and plans we arrange for your organization, can use dedicated for other engines too, including a server just for you when the plan includes it. Check Pricing or your dashboard for each engine.
You choose a display name for the dashboard. On shared Free, the connection database name is assigned automatically so it stays non-identifying. Use the name shown in your credentials when connecting your app.
Sign in, subscribe to Free, create a database, then copy the credentials into your app. Upgrade later if you need more room or backup.
