Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data QubicDB collects, why we collect it, how we measure site usage with analytics tools, and how Tim QubicDB protects the service without selling your data.

Effective 2026-09-21

1. Scope and our commitment

This Privacy Policy applies to the QubicDB website, dashboard, status views, support tickets, and control-plane services. It covers personal data we process when you create an account, manage databases, review settings, open support, browse marketing pages, or contact us.

Tim QubicDB collects only what is needed to run, secure, measure, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.

2. Data we collect

Account data from your social login provider, such as name, email address, and provider account identifiers, plus linked-provider records shown in settings.

Security and usage data, including IP addresses, user-agent strings, session records (active and recently revoked), consent records for legal documents, audit events, and onboarding answers you submit.

Website analytics data collected through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, such as pages viewed, paths and titles, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser information, and referral sources. These tools help us understand traffic and improve the site. They are not used to show third-party ads on QubicDB.

Service metadata needed to operate your databases, such as database names, connection metadata, whitelist entries, plan and quota information, isolation mode, storage samples, and active-connection samples.

Support ticket content you submit, including messages and optional attachments, used only to investigate and resolve your request.

Public operational labels and health signals used on status views, such as server names, instance codes, and uptime summaries. These do not include the contents of your databases.

Application data you store inside a database is processed only to provide the service. We do not use it for advertising. You decide what content to store.

3. How we use data

Tim QubicDB uses personal and operational data to authenticate you, provision databases, enforce plan and connection limits, show usage in the dashboard, record legal consents, prevent abuse, investigate incidents, handle support tickets, publish best-effort status information, improve reliability, and send service-related notices.

We use analytics reports to understand which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and how the marketing and product surfaces perform, so we can improve content, navigation, and reliability.

We may review security signals and abuse indicators to protect other users and the platform. This can include rate limiting, temporary restrictions, overage-related suspension, archival, or account review decisions.

4. Sharing and public status

Tim QubicDB may share data with hosting providers, identity providers, and analytics providers strictly as needed to host, operate, and measure QubicDB, or when required by law.

We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (Google LLC) to load measurement tags and process analytics events. Google may process data according to its own privacy policy and product terms. We configure these tools for first-party product and website measurement, not for selling your data or running third-party advertising on QubicDB.

Status pages may show platform health and public labels. They are not intended to disclose your database contents or private credentials.

Support staff may access ticket content and related account metadata to help you. We do not sell personal data to advertisers or data brokers.

5. Cookies, sessions, and analytics

Authentication uses httpOnly session cookies managed by our frontend BFF. These cookies keep you signed in and are not used for advertising.

When analytics is enabled for an environment, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics may set or read cookies and similar technologies, and may receive page-view and related events from the browser, so we can measure site usage. These cookies support analytics and service improvement, not third-party advertising on QubicDB.

You can review and revoke sessions from account settings, including signing out other devices while keeping the current session. You can also limit analytics cookies through your browser settings or extensions; doing so may reduce how accurately we can measure traffic.

6. Security

Tim QubicDB applies practical safeguards such as encrypted transport, access controls, session revocation, IP allowlisting options, audit logging, and abuse controls.

Like any online service, QubicDB cannot promise perfect security. On free or shared plans, please use strong credentials, restrict IP access when possible, rotate secrets, and keep your own backups of important work.

If you store personal data of other people inside your database, you are responsible for having a proper reason to do so and for configuring your app carefully.

7. Retention and deletion

Tim QubicDB retains account and operational records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.

Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics property settings and Google retention defaults for the tools we use, then deleted or aggregated according to those settings.

Support tickets and attachments may be retained while useful for history and abuse prevention, then deleted or anonymized according to our retention practices.

You may request deletion of account-related personal data, subject to records we must keep for security or legal reasons. Database contents may be removed when an account is closed, restricted for safety or overage, archived, or cleaned up after long inactivity.

8. Your choices

In settings you can review profile details, linked login providers, plan information, accepted legal documents, and sessions. You can revoke sessions, update whitelist settings, export data where tools allow, open support tickets, and stop using the service at any time.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data associated with your account.

9. Updates

Tim QubicDB may update this Privacy Policy by publishing a new version. When material changes require renewed consent, we will ask you to review and accept the updated document before continuing with restricted actions. Active accepted versions appear in your account settings.
